Differences in major christian bibles

Not many Christians today know that the Catholics, Protestants and the Greek Orthodox use different bibles… Even though the majority of the books are the same, the numbers may surprise you…

A Protestant Bible excludes the seven books which Catholics and Eastern Christians consider to be deutero-canonical as Protestants view these as non-canonical. The outcome is a 400-year gap in the chronology of the Christian scriptures.

The Greek Orthodox Bible generally considers Psalm 151 to be part of the Book of Psalms and accepts the “books of the Maccabees” as four in number, but generally places 4 Maccabees in an appendix, along with the Prayer of Manasseh. There are differences from Western usage in the naming of some books. Greek Orthodox generally consider the Septuagint to be divinely inspired no less than the Hebrew text of the Old Testament books.
